RED CROSS

Red Cross was started by Henry Dunant in 1863. He was a businessman from Switzerland who had great ideas about how to deal with protection of the sick and wounded during combat.
And do this as well as protect human life and health, to ensure respect for the human being.

Also to prevent and alleviate human suffering without discrimination based on nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. At time it can be very hard not to make a stand during a war, but this is something the organization take very seriously. This also makes it easier for them to enter a War-zone, as they will help both sides, and all injured.

Red Cross has about 97 million members around the world, and they get their money from donations. They are not co-operate with anyone else than other organizations within the Red Cross.

They use mainly the English language.

I like the way Red Cross think and work. I like that they are impartial and helps people, regardless their believes or color. This is something I really respect. And it is clear to see that so does the rest of the world. They are sending out messages that we are all equal and worth just as much.
